I have always not good at writing professionally in English or using computer and their extensions. I used to fear that I won't be good enough to even do a assignments because of that reasons. Those state of my mind was on out of the way for me to commit to school. But now my state of mind changed, I'm now thinking more positively and making me excited to make mistakes, get embarrassed, step forward and get better.
My goals in this class is to not only to stay on track and get good grades but also to grow mentally and to have improvement of my PC skills. Instead of deciding how bad I am and giving up before try, I want to see how much I can do better and gain confidence in my skills. To others it may seen hard to understand how much impacts this class can give me but for me, be able to get better through this class is already a big step that benefits me in the future in so many different ways. I am very much excited to participate in this class and learn more and more every day!!
I love your spirit of commitment to school :-)
ReplyDeleteYour positive state of mind and courage to make mistakes, get embarrassed, step forward, and get better will lead you to success not only in this class but college and anything you do!
I look forward to helping you elevate your digital literacy in IS101-3003, Fall 2023, Sara ^_^
Positive thinking is the biggest factor in going through change. Once you conquer the fear of failing, you can overcome so much more. Good luck this semester.
ReplyDeleteYou are on the right path Sara, most people like to pretend to be perfect. It is ironic, really, because no one is perfect. Owning that you are a person who makes mistakes is already something most people can not do. How I always say, practice almost makes perfect. We are always learning to be better. Secondly, a lot of people are scared of computers. Once you get past this fear, it is not so bad. Keep going, you have got this!
ReplyDeleteGreat goals Sara. I'm sure you will do great! I agree, confidence is key. Good luck to you this semester!
ReplyDeleteI like your mindset. Wanting to challenge myself is one of the main reason that keeps me going! I also struggle with writing in English, and going to school definitely requires a great deal of writing assignments. It has been a tough couple of weeks.
ReplyDeleteP.S. It was really nice to run into you outside of class. I'm glad you said hi! You're very cute and so is your voice. I'm excited as to how our relationship will develop :3
Having a goal and a plan of action is always a good thing. Not being afraid to make mistakes and learn from them is an excellent quality to have. Self-improvement is an everyday process.
ReplyDeleteI personally think I am not the best English writer but previous teachers have told me I am and that if I continue to improve I will be a great writer. I think that not being afraid to make mistakes is a good and it helps build character as we are only human.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way. I get intimated when it comes try a new things. Because it is unknown for me and it is out of my comfort zone. But I learn fairly quick if I am not willing to push through those emotion's and fears I will never grow or learn form it.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way, I personally am not the most skilled when it come to computers. The goals you have placed for yourself this semester are great. You will definitely be successful in the class, no doubt about it!
ReplyDeleteYou have a great attitude and you seem very committed to school. Don't be afraid to make mistakes because that's what helps us grow.
ReplyDeleteI do that all the time, I guess how bad I will be at a task before doing it and choose to do it if I think I might have a chance at doing it and not doing it if I think I will fail. I been straying away from doing that but its been hard.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you didn't give up and even more glad that you've gained more confidence in yourself.
ReplyDeletePositive thinking is the first step in making a change. As long as you remain positive, you'll always be on track.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry too much about being good at stuff, especially things that are learnable skills. If you practice, you can become better in any skill.
ReplyDeleteHaving a goal and the mind set of not being afraid to make mistakes is already the best thing to have, I envy that.
ReplyDeleteI think it's awesome you have a better change of mind, I believe you'll do well!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great state of mind to start the semester off in Sara. Positivity permiates through so many aspects of our life. May your drive and determination take you to where you want to go.
